The SCWC has a CD with it, not sure what info it contains (sure would be easier than tissue-thin book pages).

As I just posted info on the 2012 Red Book. Not really worth purchasing at all. Almost the same info page for page with the 2011 edition. If you do get one you'll notice that many prices have gone down. I suspect Whitman is attempting to make their prices less of a joke and lowering lots of them. For many this addition is a real waste of money unless you just have to have one. I collect them so sort of stuck buying one each year. I used to always get them for $10 but now $11 for all normal types. Just a waste on this version.

The CD contains the whole SCWC book in PDF format. It does come in very handy at least for me because I can carry all the volumes 1600 - date and the paper money books on my laptop (eventually I'll get a tablet and transfer them to it) That's a stack of catalogs almost three foot high. Krause does not include the CD with the catalogs anymore but it can be bought separately. The CD's were included with the catalogs for awhile in order to introduce them to the collectors but they found it was working against them because people were buying the catalog and then selling the CD on ebay. It was cutting into their catalog sales.

I just purchased my 2012 Red Book from my local coin shop on Tuesday. It has "2012" right on the front like all the other years.
