I have aquired a coin that mystifies me. Four pence 1926 British Guiana. That is what it reads on the reverse. King George V is posing on the adverse, with the standard legend "King and Emperor of India".
My problem is that I cannot find this coin in Krause. I cannot find British Guiana at all in the 19th century book version, or on Numismaster.com. Not in the unusual section either. So what is the story here? I know the British made four pence pieces meant for British Guiana in the 18th century. This coin, however, is not to be found in the British section in Krause either. Strange. Or so it seems to me.
