I think it would be the 8 P&D zinc and the 4 S mint bronze.

Although this opinion is subjective. Some people would also include the satin finish. Others think a complete set is just the P and D coins. It's all up to the collector.

The satins and proofs are made of the original 1909 cent composition: 95% copper 5% zinc/tin

wait...I thought you were the "penny man" j/k
All the proof AND mint set coins were copper, zinc and tin like the original 1909
everything else were the mostly zinc cents we have come to know and love/hate

In my opinion a complete set of 2009 Lincoln Cents contains all 20 coins.

I agree, a complete set would be 4 different P mint zinc coins, 4 different D mint zinc, 4 different P mint bronze, 4 different D mint bronze and 4 different S mint bronze, 20 coins total.

I agree. These aren't errors or anomalies. They are 20 distinct, intended varieties of the 2009 cent. Therefore, 20.
Regardless of the number of varieties out there, it comes down to, as it has been said before, what you want to collect. There is space for only 8 in certain albums, 4 in others. For completeness, I would include all 20 in my collection. Matter of taste/opinion.

I agree that there are 20 types of 2009 Lincoln Cents. Even if you deny that the satin finish coins are a separate type (from the normal business strikes), you have to admit that the 2009 satin finish Lincoln Cent coins are different from the 2009 business strikes (because of the composition).

Yes, it would take 20 coins to have a true "complete" Set of 2009 Lincolns...... no "if's", "and's", or "buts" about it whatsoever ! .... However, top leading coin albums such as Dansco, do NOT have holes (or recognize) the "Satin Finish" differentiated from the normal business strike coins. I think most people just stick their Satins in the holes along with the Proofs and just call it good though. "Folders", (not recommended) I think do not have the "extra" holes either.
