I know they are crappy scans, don't know how to scan with detail like I have seen others do, even though my scanner does 2400 dpi..?...When I look at it at home, it looks real...Will try to get a better and more detailed scan, and post more pictures.

Hope this is a little better detail....?...Though you are probably correct about being blunt, even though it does not appear that way...! Robert

Was hoping it wasn't a blunt 5, but such is life...Thanks for your input.

A few years ago I was going bug-eyed trying to update my 1cent varieties.Being lazy,I took the easy way out and bought a set of cents from SPP on ebay.

Wert, once you have a 1965 pointed 5 in your hands, you will see how drastically different it is, and never forget it. If you want, send me email using the 'email poster' function here, and I'll send you free 1965 Type 1 (pointed 5, small beads) penny, so at least you'll have a reference to hunt for the elusive type 4s.

No, that's OK SPP-Ottawa....I trust your judgement....Tore my heart out though (ha,ha)...Still, it is still a Unc 1965 good looking penny.

littlemoney - you did well to land the set for that price.
wert - so sorry, but your penny has the blunt five. As SPP mentions, there definitely is a dramatic difference between the two. Keep hunting!

wert, your 1c looks like a proof-like strike...
