Hi everyone. I am excited to be on here. Me and my boyfriend John have been collecting coins and now progressed to paper notes for about 6 months. We are learning a lot about it but as a new collector have many questions about the things we find. This is where we usually find our answers most of the time. We have a 2006 Canadian 5 Dollar bill and the last number on one of the serial numbers is blotted dark and offset downwards slightly. Is that worth anything? will try to post pic

I was not aware that canada issued a $1.00 bill in 2006, I was under the impression that the last $1.00 was issued in 1973 and since then was replaced by the loony. I would like to see a pic of your bill of course.
In the meantime...

You are correct. The last Canadian one dollar note that was printed, was in 1973. However, she is talking about a 5 dollar note.

These types of things are quite common, on banknotes and usually have no additional value. If you post pictures of the note, I could tell you if it was common, or an error. Welcome to the forum!

Whoa, whoa, back up a bit I am not the bad guy here, when dealndeal originaly posted her question she had made reference to a $1.00 bill, hence my comments, she later edited her post to read a $5.00 bill.
It might be a good idea for some members here to read the posts fully instead of making false accusations when none are called for.
And I thought this was a nice forum too, now I am having my doubts..

I don't mean to be rude, but that was a little uncalled for. Me and 10xloupe both read the original post fully, it is not our fault that the post was edited. How were we supposed to know that she changed it from a $1 to $5 note? We politely corrected you, thinking that you may have misread. (no big deal really. Everyone does it) Then you come back getting mad at us, over a simple misunderstanding.
