Hi all! I'm "new" to the forum, in that this is my first post, but I've been a lurker for some time. Recently, a relative of mine passed away and left me a few Eisenhower dollars, so I figured it was time to add to my Dansco album set with their Eisenhower dollar album, #7176.

Upon opening the album, I noticed something most unusual ... on the inside, the cover describes the history and minting of the Statehood Commemorative Quarter series! The inside-back cover lists montage figures for the Ike. Does anyone else have an album like this? This seems strange.

Appears to be an error all right.

You really have two errors. What is inside the front cover is wrong and what is inside the back cover should be inside the front one! It is easy for me to see this kind of error happening from time to time, knowing the way the binders are made.

I assume by your username that you are a fan of the Chicago National League Ball Club.

Thanks! I assumed there was an error, but I wasn't sure. The mintage (not montage!) info in the back is just the numbers and years, which is what is in my Jefferson nickels album (in the back). I'm not pumped about the error, but it will make an interesting conversation piece!

And indeed, I'm a Cubs fan! There's always next year! ;)

I suppose we can all be miserable together; until Spring 2012!

Interesting. All of my Dansco albums have the mintage figures in the front.

Mine are older, though. My oldest albums ( Eisenhower dollars 8176 and Kennedy half dollars 8166) were purchased in 1984 (the binders were replaced in 1996 though). My newest album was purchased in 2000 (the Statehood Quarters).

I am going to take a look at some new albums at the coin show this month (I still need an album for the ATB Quarters). Maybe I will spot some errors.
