neweden Hello - interesting facts about 1896.

But unfortunately the coin was NOT made in 1896. It is a modern Chinese counterfeit made of white metal. If you check the weight and the density you will determine this coin is not correct. The diameter will be correct BUT the face die-diameter is TOO small. The wide rims are typical of a mold created by casting. The mold shrinks slightly and to get the diameter of the coin correct they add a small bit of space with an oversized collar.

I think you are right, I will admit I had my doubts about this coin as well as a few others I have come across.
I was basically displaying a coin along with facts that pertained to that particular year.
Thank you for spotting my deliberate mistake
