I don't want any complaints afterwards - it very clearly says
"100% GENUINE! GUARANTEE! Origin: China"
So no thinking there that they were actually produced in Mexico

I always wonder who bids on these... I suppose they must have networks of IDs they use to pump up the bidding, which they hope will entice some sucker actual bidder...

Reporting these auctions may or may not work. It is a fully legal auction in China and most of the rest of the world - there is NO FRAUD here - provided you read the wording as his lawyer will say he "intended". Genuine means the coins actually exist and origin China clearly means that they are replicas.

I really wonder what he means by:

Quote:
To prevail in kind.

I would guess this means something like - you will get a similar but actually different coin that looks the same.

These are obvious cast copies with post cast applied edges which create a correct looking distortion of the coin itself.

I do love the YII counterstamp on the center coin. It was first published as a fake in about 1979 in the Numismatist - so it shows the old stamps are still around.

I can not make out the stamp on the third coin.

Anyone bidding on a Chinese Private auction with a person with ZERO feedbacks needs to have his head examined.

Two of the coins reach 70€ - I don't think any informed buyers would pay that much for chinese copies ...
At least, the guy gives the origin - which is better than usual as you said ;)

"Anyone bidding on a Chinese Private auction with a person with ZERO feedbacks needs to have his head examined."

Indeed... Or needs to have his money redistributed to those who apparently value it more. Either/or!

Actually, ZERO feedbacks is a warning, but now that this guy sold coins he won't have 0 feedback anymore. They are either good ad buying their own stuffs to inflate their credit, or to find some clients to buy their coins and be happy to be ripped.
Not everyone is used to ebay - remember that.

What about that Santiago one, which is clearly a fake as well ? (at lest, the seller provides hi-res pictures)
Already 255 USD - that's expensive for a clump of metal ...
The seller don't have a zero rating this time, the auction is private though.
