Wow, nice coin an a nice deal.
I still need this guy for my set.
I still need 25 coins though lol, you are quite a bit farther along then I am.
If you don't mind and if you have the coins in an album I would love to see the set you have.
I would love something like that to drool over for a bit.
This is the first set I am putting together that I need a lot of help with since my other sets have all been mainly roll searched sets.
I love buying these coins though, the design is one of my favorites.
I have my coins in a Littleton folder. My collection hasn't graduated to a Dansco yet. I'm very bad at photography and wouldn't be able to do it justice.
Altho I'm not an expert in grading, it's a mixture of acid date filler coins to full date near AU grade. All the 30's coins are inexpensive so they're the highest quality. The 20's coins are a mixture of a few acid dated and full dates and most of my teens are acid dated. This is due to cost.
Altho I would like to have high quality early-date coins I can't afford them and the acid dated need love too. However, some of the key coins: 24-S, 27-S 31-S are not acid dated and look great. You can build a nice Buffalo set on a budget.
Funny thing, before I started collecting them I really didn't care for the coin. That's changed as now the set is one of my favorites.
When I finish with the Buffalo set I'll finish up with my
Liberty nickel set, with 6 coins to go. I'm not going to bother with the 1912-S as it's out of my league. After that, here come the
Shield nickels!
