This is the obverse, disregard the green glue like substance.

I was going to say 'Glue', but I then saw the second picture and your comment to disregard the glue. Perhaps your talking about the bubbles under the glue on the Obverse. Other than that I missing what we are looking for.

On the first and third picture I am referring to the top that looks like it has cracks or lines through it.
On the second picture I am referring to the line that goes through the T and the queens head, where you can see a slight discoloration on either side of the line.
Also just above the line you can see a few 'dints' and a 'blob' ( Cud) between the you and the S.
I realise it also has a large 'glue' like substance on it but that is not what I'm referring to
Hope that helps?

The line through the Queens head looks like a stain, probably resulting from the glue. The Cuds between the you and the S still like like bubbles resulting from the stain. Wash it in acetone and see what comes of it.

I was also thinking that the line was the result of the stain. If there is something like varnish on part of the coin then that part of the coin will age/wear differently to the rest of the coin.

So here is the same coin after cleaning it in acetone.
It was obviously the glue like substance or some varnish, as was suggested by ozcoin and Yass, as the 'bubbling' effect and the crack like mark has gone.
I must admit I was surprised by the outcome . Thanks very much for the suggestion to clean it.

I've never used acetone before. I must admit it did a pretty good job. Good to see before and after piccies.

Make sure you get pure Acetone from a Hardware store like Bunnings. Nail Polish Remover is not suitable as it contains way too many other chemicals that can leave a residue.

The coin came up quite well considering how much goop it had on it.
