I am asking for help to identify this coin I have had in my collection for over thirty years. The picture I am attaching is hard to see some numbers above the eagle it says 680 thous. The banner above the eagle should read "880 THOUS" which equates to 88% pure gold. All of the Humbert slugs are very rare with values ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars, depending on the variety. A genuine example contained almost 2.5 ounces of gold so it would be very heavy for its size. Without even knowing the size of yours, I am confident in stating that it is indeed a copy as there are numerous differences and at best, your example might be gold-plated bronze/brass.
