I recently purchased this coin and after I took a picture of it I noticed a strange addition at the end of the second feather up.Is this a error coin? I did a search and cannot find another 1899 with this extra end showing.

Hmmm.... This one has it, but that's the only other one I can find.

But while looking I found this one, ya think he was looking at a different coin when he wrote that description.

BEAUTIFUL SHARP (maybe the instrument used on it?).... FEW TINY SCRATCHES (machete, ya think?).... WHAT ABOUT THE DENTS?

I would think that since we see there is another one that it would be a known variety. When Susan comes down I'll see if she can find it in one of her books. If I touch them I get punched.
