A coin club error expert told me this was a double die error. Check under the chin of liberty on the obverse. See the extra line? Anyone see any other unusual features on either side? What's it worth?
Thanks for looking! Atlashealth

I gotta say I dont see anything tht screams DoubleDie to me, but the other guy had an andvantage over me because he saw it in hand and not a picture of the coin. Is there any way you can take a picture of the area you are refering to in macro mode to get close up to it?

There could be something on her raised shoe as well. Also have a better look at the 4 in the date under magnification, it might just be the light playing tricks on me.

If it is a DDO-001 it will have a die scratch through the center of the 9 and 4 in the date. It will also have a die scratch from the E of Liberty to the top of Miss Liberty's hair. It would be worth about $10 to $15

This could be a class 4 doubled die but closer examination would be necessary to tell for sure.

Class 4 would be a doubled die on which the design, usually the central region more so than the outer areas, is shifted in a cardinal direction - i.e., north, south, northeast, etc. The most famous example of a class 4 doubled die I can think of is the 1984 doubled ear cent. The doubling of the beard and ear are shifted, or offset, to the southwest of the primary design.

Some of the details I see in the photograph of this half dollar appear that they could be doubling shifted to the south of the primary design elements, but microscopic study would be necessary to ascertain that to be the case.
