that part doesn't bother me. It's the 15 gashes on the reverse that kind of ticked me off.

Can't win them all, that's why it was a gamble. Fortunately, a cheap one.

Damage aside - a full rim and parts of the letters in liberty are visible so I too would say this is a vg10.

Seriously, I've seen many scratched up like that. I don't know what the deal is, there. Still, that's not a bad buy at $10, IMHO.

Yeah, on the plus side, the surfaces are completely corrosion free and very evenly toned. That's not exactly common for indians from the 70s, but it's generally the look I'm going for in my set, so I'm ok keeping it as a filler until I upgrade.
