*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***I also collect the PCGS Sample Slabs, especially the early 1st ones, and according to the sampleslabs site I see the 1st Generation slab numbered 1 is a proof dime dated 1964-D, I also see the slab called the 1-1 dated 1963 is also a proof dime. My question is the 1 and the 1-1 both have all zeros, which I believe helps identify the slabs, I have a slab with a proof dime dated 1961, which also has all zeros and is NOT listed on the site, I believe it should be a 1st generation slab also because of the exact style, I am asking if any members could shine some light on this topic. I am an avid collector of these like many other things and would appreciate the knowledge to go along with the slabs, I believe their is a member here maybe CONDER101, who might of actually developed or helped develop the site and look forward to his input, thanks for any assistance, Mike.... I was the one who got Cameron interested in sample slabs but I had nothing to do with the development of the website. Cameron and I differed on the cataloging of the sample slabs. I used different numbers for each change in the slab with the base number referring to the generation of the production slab the sample is based on. Cameron changed his numbers based on changes in the slab, but those changes do not always relate to the generation order. He also does not reference changes in the back of the slab. (This can be a problem because there can be different generations that have the same front label but different holograms on the back. With Cameron's listing you can't tell what generation slab they are from, with mine you can.) Cameron also assigned different numbers to the same slab style when the coin in the slab changed. I did not do that. I was concerned with changes in the slab not the coin.
Cameron's PCGS 1 is not a proof dime, it is the business strike. He would have called yours a PCGS 1.1 or possibly a 1.2 because of the different date. Under my system your coin would be a PCGS 1S1 First sample style seen of the PCGS 1, first generation slab.

I have an "earlier" (not the rattler) PCGS Sample slab; 1964-D Dime, no grade assigned. What are these going for?  I'll post some pics when I get to the house tonight. My apologies, it is a NGC Sample Slab. Here's the pic anyway;

1st I wish to Thank the staff for moving this topic to the proper place.... Thank-You... I also would ask Conder101 for your effort on this topic, I would like to know you speak about "your listings", Is there a place or site I could refer to for your listings? I appreciate all your knowledgeable input!! Is there a book point of reference? I enjoy collecting the slabs, especially the early ones and actually, do not exactly know the proper generation sequences, and would like to........PS, I thought I did, LOL....
