Can you show the entire coin, both sides? That will help with diagnostics.

Why does the rim not look rounded? Looks like it took a hit on the rim? (First Image)

Looks to be a 67 yr. old clip.
Normal wear and tear after the clip.
The second 4 seems to be affected as far
as weakened. Looks like the clip was deep enough in
to make the rim look not rounded.

There might be a slight Blakesley effect visible on the reverse... The shape of the rim going into the gap looks right, but it's so beat up it's hard to be certain.
