Don't know if you've checked out Great Collections new auction website but it's worth a look. I've gotten several good deals there this fall and they were offering free, insured S&H on your first order when I joined. Ian Russell (formerly of TeleTrade) founded Great Collections earlier this year and has been great to work with. http://www.greatcollections.com/

I've gotten a type coin from GC. The minimum bid prices seem a little high, but the service was excellent.

Sorry to bump an older thread, but are there any other reviews of Great Collections?
I'm thinking of using them for various coins...

Hadn't seen this before. With Ian Russel's name associated, I'd do business without hesitation. This is his baby, and he was the President of Teletrade and the COO of Bowers/Merena.
High prices, though. Even the auctions have starts at what I'd consider top of retail, for the coins I looked at. Very nice coins, but not cheap.

GC was the source for this find: https://goccf.com/t/115077The service was top-notch. The coin arrived four work days after close of the auction. I used PayPal to pay (other options are available). You need to remember that GC adds "juice" to the final hammer price (10%) in my case. Just factor that into the bid. Their website is well organized, allowing you to sort by type. I really like the large photos (around 750kb). Enlarging these is easy and details are sharp. The auctions have a close time, but the final bid is there for about five additional minutes after close to allow additional bidding (unlike ebay). I was nail-biting waiting for that confirmation that no additional bids were made above mine.

I tracked a few coins when they started. They all had start bids higher than grey sheet most closed without a bid. I had high hopes for this site as I have done pretty well from Teletrade in the past but I have ceased to even look at their offerings. Perhaps I should revisit now they have been running a while. Nope still not happy 1864 Two-Cent Piece Small Motto PCGS G-04 BN Start Bid $250 FMV Listed at $150 PCGS lists it at $150 Last one I bought I paid $129 shipped G4 is G4 regardless of any plastic housing or name.
