to CCF. Your first step is to post a photo so we can see what your coin looks like John1

Welcome to the forum! It will also help to give us the weight of the coin in grams.

One thing that will be important would be the weight of the coin in grams to at least one, preferably two decimal places. The vast majority of "missing clad layer" coins actually turn out to simply be discolored coins.

Can you post a much bigger picture of the reverse?

Hmmm, the complete lack of discoloration on the obverse makes me lean toward it being real. Getting a precise weight would be the next step, followed by an examination by an expert.

Looks right to me, but this is nowhere near a first. These aren't common, but they do happen from time to time.

Look familiar? Based on appearance and weight, you do indeed have a dime missing the reverse clad layer The above coin is one from my collection and the weight on it is 1.9 grams as well.

Well I said that the vast majority of these pieces reported as missing clad are actually just discolored. (As in this thread https://goccf.com/t/101169 ) It happily looks like in this case he has the real thing! Congratulations.
