To all the penny roll searchers out there... How often do you find anything prior to 1935 (or for Denver or San Fran prior to 1940)? I will occasionally find a 1935, but everything else is 1940-1958. I save all my wheat backs anyway, but am curious what others are finding out there.

Most of my wheats are 40's-50's, with 30's maybe every other box, and pre 30's once every 5 boxes or so, usually in the teens. My most recent teen was a 1918 about 3 boxes ago.

I get maybe a dozen or so pre 35's a week from all my searches. Usually two Brinks boxes and another $100 to $200 in CWR. More teens than 20's. Funny!

Not often. I might find 1 pre-35 (most people consider pre-34 to be the threshold) cent per every other box. I've never ever found a key date, although I got a 09VDB as change from a register once. In roll searching I recall finding a 29-S, a 1917, and possibly a few other P-minted dates from the teens.

I get a pre 1935 coin about every other box. In about one in five boxes I get a pre 35 I get a multiple of them. Most are in the teens.

I'm not a "roll searcher", but my wife is a cashier and brings me anything she finds. I would say I've gotten 10 or so 30's and prior wheats, with the best being a 1909 vdb and a damaged 1909 svdb. I'd say I've gotten like 15 1956 wheat cents, which is by far the most of one kind.

1909svdb? What a great find! Is it in a slab?

I actually gave it to my uncle, he needed it to complete his set. I got a ton on silver for it, I think it was 5 Franklin halfs, 5 Walkers, 30 Washington quarters, and a Peace dollar. It had some decent rim damage, if I can remember, i'll take my camera out by him and take some pictures of it.
