I was going through cents and found a few fun things...

This one has a large mark that looks a bit like a crack. I am wondering if it could possibly be a die clash? There is no sign of it on the obverse.

Any thoughts?

My guess would be a die crack/break , especially for 1943. It could also be a lamination ,but if it were, I think it would cut across the right leaf rather than follow around the edge, tough to say without having it in hand, maybe you should send it to me, .

Very interesting, nice find.

Kind of embarrassing I didn;t find it earlier. I have owed it for years. It is part of a small hoard I got a few years back. I searched throught them before for high grades and double dates. But this one was in a 2x2 and I thought the crack was a hair.....
