$5250 + the fees = $6195

... hey, now do me a favour if you've got a sec => go into my thread about key-dates and give me some quick feedback on my choices for Canadian 25 cent key dates, okay? (do a brother a favour => thanks)

Not bad hammer for a PL65 grade. I would comment on your thread, but I don't collect 25c coins.

Canadian Banknotes
What did you end up getting? There was lots of nice stuff there.

Well there seems to be two simultaneous conversations goin on here...one super high-end...then my super low-end...haha!

Here is what I picked up:
(as for grade they are all obviously around VF, F or lower...I don't really know or care as long I think the coin is acceptable)

1c: 1894
NF 1c: 1908
5c: 1870, 1893, 1881H, 1903H, 1926 5c (near 6)
10c: 1902, 1902H, 1903H, 1904, 1912, 1934, 1948

I don't really collect notes, but found these all at great prices, so I thought I'd branch out:

$1 note: 1937, 1954, 1954 (devil face)
$2 note: 1954
$5 note: 1954, 1972
$10 note: 1937, 1954, 1971
$20 note: 1954

You should post some scans of your notes, I could help you out with grade and value.

SPP-Ottawa => yes, you're correct => "they" predicted that the error coin would go for $12,000, so somebody got a super coin for a very nice price ...

Oh, and no sweat on the Key-date thingy (DBM manned-up and gave me a very good answer/logic) ...

anyway ... being a mining guy, I should have known not to rely on a geologist for answers!?

No, geologists only ask more questions...
