Hey all. I would love to see any pictures of your favorite Walking Liberty halves. Single coins, sets, slabbed or not, toned or white, I would really enjoy checking them out. Look forward to hearing from you!

I have only one decent SLQ, a 1942. Here are some pics of it. Setup: - Schneider-Kreuznach Apo Componon HM 90mm f4.5 at f5.6 - Nikon D7000 in Aperture Priority Mode - Microscope Stand - Pentax Auto Bellows - Two Jansjo LEDs with Custom RSD Directors, set at 9:00 and 12:00, 60mm above coin, ~10 deg off vertical I set the lights up first for the reverse, and chose the 9:00 and 12:00 positions to give best overall illumination, and am pretty happy how it came out. The obverse was very difficult to get evenly lit for some reason, even with the Directors. I find the S-K 90ACHM to be a bit less sharp than the Rodenstock 75ARD1, but it's not too bad and colors are good as one would expect from an apochromatically-corrected lens.

Among my very earliest efforts at coin photography was this one, back in early 2006. Camera was a Canon S2 IS, and I didn't even know to make the lens perpendicular to the coin. Came out okay, though.
