I came back to this thread today just to look at your pictures again! It IS a really nice piece of artowrk. I need to go learn about platinum. Does it tarnish? Don't own any...must find out and start saving....

Platinum is a "noble metal", so, no, it does not tarnish.

Very nice coin barryg. I don't have any interest in platinum, but I have been eying that coin since it was released. I blame it my kids watching too much Phineas & Ferb. (OK, I admit, I am hooked on the show as well.)

Heh. I keep trying to convince my 6-year-old son that the coin is made from .9999 pure platypus. So far, though, he's not buying it...
