That Westphalian one is neat (I have a few from that series too). Note however that this piece, as well as a few other notgeld coins and notes, were not actually circulating "emergency money" but were issued as fundraisers.

I have this one, they don't appear to be listed in Krause. Do anyone have a reference to these coins? Ron Image: g1.jpg79.4 KB Image: g1a.jpg83.03 KB

That is from the same "Notgeld" series as the Freiherr vom Stein piece above. Again, not really a coin, and not actually notgeld but rather used for fundraising purposes. Annette von Droste-Hülshoff was a poet; she was also depicted on the 1992-2001 series of the 20 DM note. http://www.bundesbank.de/bargeld/ba....php#dm_20dmThere are two versions of the "100 Mark" piece - brass, Ø 26 mm (guess that is what you have) and aluminum, Ø 38 mm. In brass (mintage about 95,000) it would be worth around €10 in VF, but I don't quite think yours is VF. But that sure is a nice portrait of Annette. Christian
