Super! I am not good at grading these either but it looks like there's a lot of odd lettering in In God We Trust and something with the inside of the 3. The strike looks sharp but is there maybe a little cabinet wear on the obverse. Light touch on the leaf tips? I would give it a value for MS64 any day regardless.

Can you tell if it's an 1883/2 from this close up photo?

It looks like the inside of the 2 protruding from the 3. Do you have a jewelers loupe or good magnifying glass? The best thing to do is look at it closely right under a bright light with a loupe, and move it around looking at it from different angles. Or take photos from different angles with the light concentrated on this area then put it on your computer and crop this area and enlarge it as much as you can without it distorting the image.I usually take pictures with my camera lens fitted into the jewelers loupe, turn on the macro setting and put it right up to the coin then you can crop the area already enlarged and usually you can still zoom in quite a bit.

doesn't seem to match up with any of the photos as shown in the Cherrypicker's Guide for the 1883/2.

Is there anything between the 8 and the 3 in the date? It's tough to tell from the photo.. If so, it might still potentially match up.

I'd give this one a 64 as well. She's beautiful.

I'll have to make a trip to the safety deposit box to get it. Looking at the photo I don't see anything between the 8 and 3 either.

I looked at the date with a loop. It appears to be just a regular 1883. Oh well.
