Hi, I just bought this Peace dollar off ebay and after looking at the picsome more I see some things that raise my interest. The "E" in we and the "V" in trvst. I dont have the coin yet so I cant give wieght or dimentions. I was hoping some expert eyes could help me.

Thank you
Ron

The coin looks real to me. Two ways to find out is to use a magnet to test the metal. If it sticks then it isn't silver. Also, weigh the coin and compare to the official listed weight of the coin.

It would be good to see an image of the reverse.

I wish I had one but this was the only pic on the posting. two other things that raised my interest is that there was only 2 bids and I bought it for 28 including shipping.

well you have to look on the bright side if you won a real dollar for that price(which does happen once in a while) then you got a deal

and if you didnt return it, take it to a dealer and have him look at it or post better pics with the specs for this coin and there is enough educated guesses on here to give you an idea. If you take it to a dealer that will probably be the best bet to find out if its the real thing and they usually wont charge you.

Looks fine to me... Doesn't hurt to check it out when you get it though. Not sure why they'd fake such a common coin, but you never know these days.

well I got the coin today and it isn't a fake, just a heck of a deal. the only thing I cant figure out is that there is a slight dippling affect in front of her face.
