harrison2 Pillar of the Community Mexico 1304 Posts	Posted 11/02/2011 5:27 pm Looks like the loop on the top has been removed. Since that loop is on the top of both sides, that makes is a medal "style" vs coin (where the obverse is upside down compared to the reverse). Looks like it's marked .800 which would not surprise me for a medal. Nice, where'd you find it? Report this Post to the Staff

alganbagerap Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2490 Posts	Posted 11/02/2011 7:58 pm I believe that it is a pigeon racing prize medal, although I would usually expect these to be inscribed. Origin probably European rather than UK, as British medals were slightly more utilitarian. Date I'd expect to be around 1920s. Report this Post to the Staff
