I just received this 1800 large cent in an NGC slab- VF details. As usual, I set it free as it is a keeper. I'd appreciate help in identifying the variety - thanks!

Yes, it is a die crack. It's more visible in hand - I guess the light from the digital microscope is too bright but there is no adjustment. Let me know of any other areas that need a close up. Thanks!

If the crack is an indicator, it would likely be S-211 here: http://www.largecents.net/collectio...toindex.html

Thanks Fioti and Rayman311

Here's a closeup of the date. The crack under the date also does seem to match the S-211 link you provided.

The die blunder under the "L" in LIBERTY also nails it as an S-211
Rest in Peace

Why a "details" grade? I thought those were given to cleaned or tampered with coins. I guess its for corrosion too.

The obverse is nice, but the reverse has some corrosion and so the 'details' designation.
