So here is the latest one that I found. It is by far the strongest one detail wise that I have found, but unfortunately it has a few issues. First being the "dark" areas. They don't quite look like corrosion, as there is no porosity and the actual surface of the coin does not have that corroded look. However, it is, at best, majorly distracting toning...possibly fire damage of sorts. I dipped in acetone with not much result, and that is as far as I'm willing to go. It definitely has that original "extra crusty" look , but I'd be lying to pretend it was anything but distracting. Also, it is slightly bent when viewed from the side, but not noticable from a front view. Anyways, I think I'm going to send it in to ANACS as is, then probably throw it on the bay. Thoughts?

Wow John! Despite the corrosion, that coin has strong details! ANACS, then bay is what I would do. Nice find my friend :-)

If I was not saving my cash for the 25th Anniversary sets, this would be coming to my house.

Even I can tell that's a 1916; couldn't hazard a guess at the grade though. When you gonna quit your day job and just find these full time?

lol @ upstate. If I could find one every week, then I'd might consider it, but there really arent many out there, I've just been lucky. ANACS gave it an AG3 details bent/corroded, which is a little harsh but I will accept it and sell it as that since I think whoever buys it will be pleasantly surprised. It is up for sale now in multiple venues.
