It's amazing how much detail it has. since the first time I saw a 50 cent coin, I decided to collect them. so far I got 1968-2010, seems there are several versions out there, proof, specimen and UNC?

chris86: nice, I saw J and M has a roll selling for 150+tax.
I was able to find all the mintage of business strikes in the blue album, but can't find proof version and silver version (after 1968) mintage

The reverse of these coins is fabulous, especially in that much detail.
Not too keen about the obverse design. The Brits have a better design in this regard.

If you like that reverse design, then the 1967 $20 gold coin would be a must. It is the only reverse design I can think of that was used on two different denominations.

Quote: chris86: nice, I saw J and M has a roll selling for 150+tax. Yeah it looks like the 2006P have really gone up in value. I bought them for $20 per roll in 2009 I think.

I collect the 1937 to 1967 Fifty Cent coins with all varieties. For the 1941-1952, since most dates have the last two digits of the date entered seperately, there are many double/triple puched digits, three punch style varieties along with the many date digit spacing varieties. Also three Doubled Die varieties for 1950, 1951, 1952.

I have quite a few 50 cent Canadian coins or as they call them here in the U.S., "half-dollars", but they make up a smaller portion of my collection.
My father has several of them that he has set aside from the 40's, 50's and 60's, that he offered to give me. For that reason, I have held off purchasing too many so I only have 11 of the silver ones at this point. The rest of mine are the newer ones.
I particularly like them in either the proof or specimen finish as you have shown in the photos you included here.
