Thank you! It's a circa 1905 Hamilton Manufacturing Letter Press Cabinet. I've been looking for one for nearly 3 years and literally just stumbled upon this one in a local antique store.

The cabinet is over 100 years old and it looks nearly brand new. They just don't make things like this anymore it doesn't seem like.

Good Luck in finding one. I don't mean that sarcastically but I will tell you it took me 2 1/2 years to find this one and it was purely by luck I came across it.

You can find a lot of Hamilton letter press cabinets on ebay but they are almost always cost prohibitive, especially when you include freight shipping. Mine weighs about 200lbs..

The other factor is condition. I had resigned myself to thinking I'm going to have to settle on one that is going to need some work. Missing pulls, drawers, drawer inserts. Bad/worn out exterior and the like. When I walked into the antique store where this one was I was stunned at how perfect it is. I have done some research since getting it home and I believe it to be made somewhere between 1905 and 1910. There are a couple of truly neat websites you can visit if you want to learn a little more about them, they are:

http://www.telephonearchive.com/dmw...catalog.html - check out the catalog he has there and then also..

http://woodtype.org/ - This is a museum website from Wisconsin that details Hamilton and their history.

Good luck in your endeavors to find one. If you do please let us see some pics! :)

I found this Peace dollar rather endearing. Flea market purchase. I wonder what its story might be...

Picked up 2 64 Kennedy's and a 52 and 54 Franklin. I was at a pawn shop and for some reason the 65-69 Kennedy's were priced higher then the two 64's I bought and they weren't in any better condition. Paid $30 for all 4 coins.

Even though it's a Lincoln Cent, it's a Wheat cent so I think it kinda counts as classic. Just got it today. Looks pretty good for being 93 years old, and is a major upgrade from the G4 one in my 7100.
