Nice coins everyone!
Today I got a date less buff for a buck and a 1944 s vf35 merc for 5. The buff turned out to be a 1915, a hole filler! I overpaid, but that's what happens at my pawn shop.

Lot's of cool stuff today. That cent is amazing Stephen420! The West Point piece is really nice, too, Nickels_rule! I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a roll of dateless Buffs, ChildOfTheWheat. They are fun. Love this thread!

You should buy 'em! For the dateless ones you can pull a date off with vinegar and hydrogen peroxide.

I got this Federal issue 1861-O W-1 with a rarity 6 die marriage at a very good price because of an N GOOLD counter mark on the reverse. He is not listed in the Brunk book but there are three possibilities from the initial research. One seems to me to be the most likely due to his occupation. More research is necessary. It grades VF otherwise and the counter mark did not flatten the details on the head of Miss Liberty as much as it could have. Very even natural patina gives this piece great eye appeal.

It is going to be shipped to me on Monday, June 1st, with this awesome 1878 F-101 PCGS MS-64 OGH dime that is going into my Liberty Seated dime date set. There is a very good chance it could upgrade to MS-65 if I were to send it to PCGS for regrade. I am not but it definitely is going to go to CAC for review.

Ditto on the Counterstamp 1861-O 50C. It looks awesome. I hope you find out more about N. GOOLD.

I couldn't pass on this 1881-S. I. . I. . just needed another one, Okay?

Had to get this one too. It looks very similar to an 1887 I have- same peripheral toning with the same color.

Even though the 81-S graded a 62, it is gorgeous. It's blinding under direct light. The obverse is PL, but I think the reverse kept it from getting the designation. Man, this coin GLOWS with beauty. $42 well spent.

1892 Barber dime, I wonder who put their initials on it long ago. I want to know their story, their life. Makes you wonder about the past. AU Details, cleaned/graffiti. Bought it off ebay for $3.50
