Thanks, Ralph. That's good advice, and I'm sort of doing that now with a little stash of silver I have on the side. Just waiting for silver to climb back up.

That's the wonderful thing about the Ike series, jbuck. When all else fails, you can always work on an Ike dollar set. Always doable. |

Picked this 1924-S Peace dollar up today at my LCS for $31 for my "Poor Man's" Peace dollar set (5 to go). It's now the 2nd most expensive coin in the set   Edited by rahtbarg

The Peace dollar is a great primer for a collection of Morgan's. You can complete a Peace dollar set for maybe $1200-1500 if you don't demand all MS coins. I like what Ralph said about collecting Morgans. You can get 30 of them in MS condition for less than $100 each. |
