Got a brand new Dansco gold page off of ebay for $6.99! I told myself that it was "just to fill the empty space in my album." We'll see about that. Also got what is in my opinion, my coolest coin yet. Paid $45 plus a dansco dime album that I had that had the merc pages and first two rosie pages. (I replaced it with a brand new 7120 that I also got off of ebay since it included the Barber pages - this thing was printed in 1977 but was still in it's plastic wrapper!). I figured it was a good deal for the details the coin shows. Excuse the cellphone pictures

I won a complete set of Mercury dimes, minus the 1916-D, in an older blue whitman for $175 early this morning (6 am.) That's 76 coins including the 1921, 1921-D, and 1926-S. All of them look to be at least Good or better, even the 1921 (which has almost a full obverse rim!), with the later dates looking VG-F. I hope that it's not a scam, but seller has great feedback and 14 day return policy, and I paid with credit card, as usual, for fraud protection. If it ends up being as described, that works out to $2.30 per coin. If I valued the 1921, 1921-D and 1926-S at a very, very low $100 for the set of 3 coins, then I paid $75 for the other 73 coins, or $1.03 per dime, just over 10x face. I think that's okay.

Some fun acquisitions posted on this page. That Mercury dime folder is pretty neat.

I already had an AU-BU mini-set in a Whitman (1939-1945 + MM's) so I will probably use these to fill in the rest of the album and then work on replacing the coins with AU/BU pieces as I go along.

Mom bought this for me at the ANA for $50. 1857 O Seated Liberty dime. Seems to be XF40 to the dealer and those here as well. One dime left in my 7070!

Grabbed this 1864 2 cent Small Motto on a BIN for $9. Coin not attributed by seller. Looked heavily cleaned and very unnatural. Imagine my surprise when I got it in hand and found out it was really a deep brown with the faintest hint of copper, mostly problem free but very low grade (FR) example! Apparently seller must have cranked up the lighting trying to get the date to show up better.
