I posted this in the VAM forum but not here. It's my first Morgan purchase since November.

ET what did it grade if you don't mind. I see a considerable amount of strike weakness which is apparently very common with these Charlotte minted coins.

She grades in at AU-53. Don't mistake the reverse mushiness for wear. All '59 & '60 Charlotte HEs were struck with poorly annealed reverse dies, thus the 'weak strike' or "wear" look. This one also has some strange little green sticker on the slab that looks somewhat like a small football. I'll probably just peel that sucker off because I find it rather distracting.

Here's a pic of my '60-C for reference... same reverse look. Looking forward to Todd Pollock imaging the '59-C at the next Baltimore show.

This 1827 Large Cent is rough, but a closer look reveals it to be a R3 variety (N2), so that's okay with me.

A herd of Buffalos that no one wanted to bring home, even for only $9. But, a closer look and you'll see a nice VG '25-S and F '27-D...and also 1916, 1921, and 1923-S in the mix.

That Eagle is quite lovely. Still my favorite modern coin design.

It's not the "D", but I'm fairly happy about it. Best one available at the once-a-month coin show in town. Does it look original?

At the coin show this weekend I managed to fill a few more holes in the IHC album. Just three holes left.

1866 Indian Head cent
