Unlike Darth Morgan, some sellers don't know how to take pictures. But this lets me do a bit of gambling.

I paid $20 for the SLQ lot and $19 for the 1941-D Mercury dime, I will see how they look in hand. Note there are no reverse photos of the SLQ's ... seller didn't bother with that minor detail. I resized the seller pictures of the obverse, so they look even fuzzier. I also picked up this lot of US Philippine coinage (with a Cuba 50 centavos snuck in) for $14, again, bad pictures, but looks like some nice toning and one with PVC damage. The Irish Halfpenny, 1741, was $4 (and had better pictures!) -- I put it into my presentation format with the seller pics.

Nice haul, paralyze. I really like your presentation for ancient coins- the way all the pertinent information is included. I sometimes include information in my templates, but it's usually for modern hobos and VAMs.

I like your Philippine coins Adam. The design they used on their silver issues is quite attractive.

Fun Fact: the only US minted located outside of the US is in the Philippines. It's located in Manila and was used from 1920 to 1941. The coins made there bear the "M" mintmark.

Today's question: If it's absurdly cheap, is it still bad photo gambling? My $4.99 9-Buffalo win. Seller listed some dates, and 3 no dates. No mintmarks listed. Hey, wait, that 1919 with the two obverse lamination flaws, that's a 1919-S or 1919-D...

Actual dates: 1919-S or 1919-D (can't tell), 1924 (D?), 1925, 1929-S, 1934-D (RPM?), 1936-S. The 3 "no dates", 1 is no date, the middle is clearly a 1928-D, the first one looks like a 1921. Pretty sure even with the lamination issues the 1919-S or 1919-D is worth the $5.

Thanks! It was bothering me that I didnt get it... I was there when the store opened to minimize the chance of someone else snagging it... It sat a day and a half with no buyers... I was super lucky (that store mainly gets silver sellers)...
