Very nice, Canadian-Banknotes!

I got another graded Eisenhower dollar, but that is a modern coin.

I like me some PL clashers so I was forced at mental gunpoint to pick up this frosty American beauty queen!

This is my first accidental purchase. I was looking for a slabbed '67 SMS nickel and this one gave me temporary dyslexia for being a '76 (proof) graded 67! I put a $2 bid in before I realized it and ended up winning it (with essentially free shipping). But hey, it's got a * so, no regrets.

I actually picked this up from an international auction not too long ago. It was quite a looker in the pic but it is far more beautiful in person. It has reflective fields. I'm much more of a world collector so I'm not overly familiar with this series. Is that a common characteristic or is this a good indication that it is a proof? Any good way to know for sure?

There is no way that you coin is a proof. During the 19th century, proofs were made a the Philadelphia mint. The San Francisco mint didn't take over proof production until 1968.

Regardless, it's still a very nice coin.

Thank you for the information coincollector. I can live with the fact that she's not a proof. She's still gorgeous as heck in my book

Are there any PL specimens from the SF mint that you know of? Is field reflectivity a common trait for the issue?
