I've no misgivings about completing the gold type coins page in the 7070, but this is a start. The 10 dollar Indian is my favorite US gold coin design, maybe because of its ties to Adolph Weinmann who designed my beloved Mercury dime and The Walking Liberty half dollar.

Augustus St Gaudens designed the 10 Dollar Indian, but due to his deteriorating health, the actual execution of the design was performed by Adolph Weinmann. A fascinating (to me) side note in numismatic history.

Look by the date...and at the second "T" in States. Did somebody actually bite this coin like you used to see in the movies?

It's fun adding another coin to the collection. :)

Today I purchased a 1922 D Lincoln and 1912 D Lincoln Cent. The 1922 D cent will complete my date-set of cents from 1909 to 2018!

I'll post a pic after I get it next week.

Not my actual nickel, but a stock picture of my latest update for my complete Jefferson Proof set 1938 to present day.

Theses are easy, finding a P & D without a mess of bagmarks is tough.
That will take me all year.

Picked up a 1913 Eagle myself yesterday.

The fine scratch in front of the forehead and the whitish stutter from the nose into the cheek are both on the holder. Hard to appreciate from my famously poor photography, but it's a beautiful example:
