I haven't posted a pickup for 3 months, but I've ordered a few more Mercury dimes. I'm currently working on a PCGS registry set of 77 Mercs, so far I have 11 and counting. I have a 1938d to add to the set, and I also acquired a 1942 Proof , which won't be part of the registry set, but I always wanted a proof merc. The proof has a gold-like look to it.
Welcome back.

Your Mercs are looking good.

Thanks jbuck! Love the Eisenhower, I remember my dad showing this coin to me as a kid and it is still one of my favorite reverse designs.

Just a 2018 Reverse Silver Proof Set

and I bid 10 bucks on this 46 Booker T
(which sounds like some kind of Hot Rod) Didn't have one in my commemorative halves and that was all I would pay for a hole filler.

99 cent SLQ :) Not too bad for under a buck! She's got a rim ding & probably been wiped a couple times but otherwise a solid Good.

These Mercury dimes are AU-BU and were less than $3 each as part of a big lot of silver dimes.

My latest endeavors have been in the Encased Cents exonoumia field. For some odd reason the history of these things pulls me in. I can remember as a kid in the '50's these were all over the place, kinda like the craze today of the rolled cent machines. Here's two of my latest, got three more coming to add to the 8 so far.

It's been a while since I posted one here.

Just got this in the mail. I can't tell if it has been cleaned or if those are just circulation scratches. Still a nice looking coin IMO.

Difficult to tell from the photos, but it looks like circulation to me. I am sure there will be disagreement.

There are more scratches on it than you can see. Most go up and down. More so on the obverse than reverse.

If I add more light to the photo is washes out the detail of the coin.

Also this one has a clash on the reverse from the back of the head. My photo's don't show it so well.

Interesting. You may want to post it separately in the US NCLT/Commemorative forum for more opinions.
