There weren't any Corvettes involved I traded other coins and jewelry for it.

Holy smokes. I was drooling at that eagle until I saw the date. Then I fell out of my chair and almost had a heart attack. Amazing coin. What is it graded? I hope to get one like that in similar condition for my 7070, however it will be an 1857

the six in 1856 looks off, about 10-15% bigger than the other numbers, or is this normal for these cents?

I'm no expert but one of our great CCF collectors, Johnny54321, recently posted some pictures of his 1856 FE Cent. I think CoinHawkeye's 1856 compares VERY favorably with Johnny's.

Here's Johnny's link when he announced his acquisition:

Don't be miffed that I don't have a picture to post. Maybe Santa will bring the camera I need. But I want to say that I picked up and 1885-O Morgan yesterday, PCGS, MS64. Frosty Lady Liberty and eagle, mirrored fields, and a pretty fire-orange toning around the rim, both sides. I don't buy the toned Morgans, but I couldn't resist the hint of fire on this one.
You all have me rethinking and modifying my tastes and what kind of coins appeal to me. I am grateful to all of you.

Wow INCREDIBLE 1856 Flying Eagle, Congratulations CoinHawkeye!

Here is a heavily circulated 1813 Capped Bust Half that I picked up recently. Its a ANACS VG-10 so I'm going to post it in Moe's new thread starting on Monday.
