Bought five ms ASE today. No big deal, but the 2008 date is clearly smaller than the 1998, and I've never seen one with a satin finish like this.

Is this just something they've done recently, and I haven't been paying attention?

Canadian maples, the BU ones at least, have kept pretty consistent since 88, but I've only ever owned ASEs newer than 2008. Would you happen to have some pictures of the 98 vs. 08?
