I was looking through listings on ebay and came across one so ridiculous it made me laugh. Supposedly a treasure trove of coins was found in an old grandfather clock. Take a look at his pictures of the finds in the clock:

If you are going to claim this is how you found these items at least put the items in the clock. This guy was so lazy he just Photoshopped the items into the clock!

Almost as good as the Photoshop are the Morgans and Draped Bust half. They have copy stamped on them.

If only all scammers on ebay where so obvious!

how many times has this doctored pic been used? It's a regular here.
What I find so funny is how they shoved all those coins...where the clock movement belongs.

After reading the tale behind the coins-in-the-clock, I've come to the conclussion that someone has a very active imagination!

I remember seeing those same pictures over 5 years ago with the same lame story. It has been used thousands of times and usually gets posted on this forum at least once a year sometimes 2 and 3 times a year

Ive seen that one too....what's next, a pic of a treasure chest from deep underwater, filled with gold and solver coins for sale...I can help with the pics...anyone have a nice ship in a bottle for use?
