I can't help you out but somebody here can -- I am almost certain.

I see a little folded note beside the boxes. Do those notes say where the medallions came from?

the only thing that is said resembling that is this....... this is in the folded paper... "great craftsmen produced this medallion in high relief from a design created by the renowned numismatic artist, Louis Marini.

I have the same item. It is inscribed inside the case as a corporate gift from the audio company, Dokorder, Inc.

Did you ever have your set appraised?
