I'm looking to start collecting modern Canadian Coins.

What's the best way to get Canadian Mint Sets for UNC coins? An online store? ebay? Any recommendations?

What about albums? The only brand I see for Canadian Coins is Guardmaster. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Hello RPT, I feel the best way to collect modern (latest minted)Canadian coinage is NEVER to buy them directly from the Mint on the year of issue. Always wait a couple of years and buy them on E-bay.
Not only will you get them at 50% off, but when you go to sell them later on, the depreciation won't hurt soo much! (price always drops after the novelty wears off)
This is the "standard" rule among Collectors when collecting any Royal Canadian Mint, proof like, proof, N.B.U., uncirculated sets, Specimen, and basically any decimal Canadian coinage post-1970.

Glenn has it right, Post Offices up here, for example, begin discounting coins and sets after 2 years ( after 1 year lately) 25% -50%.
So start older and work your way up.

RPT,if you're looking for business strike coins you should try the WTB or Trade section on this forum for the most recent issues.

Good advice. Are there any other online stores with good prices?

Hi RPT, it would seem you have enough posts to set up a trade with other members here, I for one would be more than happy to send you my change in exchange for US coins..

Some of us Canadian collectors also collect U.S. coins, so try the trade section and see what happens.

I do have many extra uncirculated and proof US coins I could trade for Canadian. Never thought of going that route.
