I got this 1883 O Morgan dollar, and I was wondering if there is anything rare to it, It's my first in my collection that I've picked up. I just started collecting beginning of the this month and I should probably get to know more about rarity and how that goes. I want to first start out asking before looking up all and everything on the internet. So these are the pictures of the Morgan dollar. I noticed lots of wear on it. Is it rare? I will give better scans if need be. What's with the dent by the mintmark?

The dent is from Post Mint Damage, coins can get a lot of abuse and have quite a lengthy discussion of there life if they could but only talk...It's got a few gashes
The 1883-0 is a common coin of the Morgan dollar series..
mintage wise, error wise I don't really see any smoking guns that point to a rare variety, Coin looks about XF45ish maybe AU50, but scans don't always do the best, and show the color and toning which yours appears to have.....It's as good as any place to start a collection....
