I live in an area where its HOT in the summer and COLD in the winter, I keep my coins in the garage attic where its safe, will the cold weather ruin the coins and currency? sometimes it can get as cold as 26 degrees F

I think you need to figure out a better storage arrangement. The temperature variance will inevitably create condensation from time to time, which will destroy the coins. Moisture is the enemy.

most banks have them, probably credit unions too. If you are currently using a "brick and mortar" bank, check the rates there.

I have a safe inside my house. Much easier to store and be able to look at the coins at any time.

Years ago, I had a small safe, but when I restarted collecting a few years ago I now have a gun safe.

A bank is not really a viable option for a collector. Access to your collection is way too limited, and only OK if you are travelling for an extended period, as I once did, for a couple of years.

I have a small safe, and my collection is very active. Only my most valuable coins are stored in the safe, and the rest of the collection is studied on a daily basis. A small bag of silica gel in the safe seems to help. Most of my most valuable coins are in acryllic screw capsules anyway.

Even ancients can be stored in this way.
