Just saw this article:

http://www.coinworld.com/articles/b...rder-manage/

Kind of surprised (and disappointed) that US Mint is contracting with a British firm for this. And that they're spending $100M on it. I can only imagine that that will be passed down to the customer with increased prices on Mint products.

I am sure that they (British firm) will be paid in "Golden Dollars". The Mint a made a "mint" off of them, cost of production versus face value.

Since SaaS solutions are "cloud-based" -- delivering the integration of shared resources, software and information provided to computers and other devices over a network

Heres the funny part:

-- the U.S. Mint will not have to make the large capital investments in hardware and software that normally accompany OMS upgrades.

Ok so what is with the 100 million dollars. Gas money?
