That is a pretty nice list. But, I noticed that they listed the 1928-S Peace dollar and NOT the 1928 as a key. Also they listed the 1919-D&S Mercury dimes as keys and NOT the 1921-D&S. I suggest doing your own homework as well as using this list.

I agree, the list does miss some key dates

I don't know of one listing the valuable dates. But you can go to an online priceguide like numismedia, and after reviewing all the prices in the different denominations you can make your own list. That way you can also use _your own_ criteria for what is valuable enough to qualify.

I'd agree with that. That list is completely outdated or just laking accuracy. They list the 55 Lincoln Double Die and the 22 Plain, which are error coins, but don't mention the 72 Double Die, 69S Double Die, 59 Wheat Back, 74 Aluminum, 43 Copper, 44 Steel and on and on and on.
Would be best to make your own list.

I never thought about that because for most of the dimes and quarters anything above melt is great.

Again those and most price guides leave out many coins of excessive value, excessively rare, remotely impossible to find or even buy. Again, for example a 1974 Aluminum Cent, Two headed coins, etc.
As a starter for the really great ones, just go to the Red Book, pages 414 to 418 for the top 250 top coins from auctions.
