So far I've never heard of anyone collecting Shield Nickles but many do collect Shield Nickels.

I would still take the 'good' 1909-S VDB. More affordable for my budget.

Chose - past tense as in "I chose the 1920 SLQ quarter." So now I will choose the Standing Liberty quarter quarter. You did not state what the grades are for each. To make a choice with such a variety of coins with vastly different values will not produce the type of result you're looking for in this survey unless you worded it "If money were no object which of these coins in MS-65 condition would you buy."

Such a strong choice, it seems that you would definitely opt for the 1909-S VDB.

Purchasing one could be a defiant action towards a spend-thrifty spouse.

If they were all MS 63 I'd go for the Barber.

I voted for the 1929 Peace dollar. It would be the only one I need to finish the set. But I would need an updated Dansco to put it in.

I voted for the 1909 S VDB, as long as the coin is in nice shape.

I would also vote for the 1929 Peace dollar. Gotta be a rare coin since it is not even listed in the RedBook!
