This coin was taken from a mint set over the weekend,, I have seen some pretty bad coins come from the mints but this has got to be the worst I have encountered,
I like bright shiny things so I guess you know which one I would pick. Looks like someone was in a hurry at the mint on the other and pulled copper strip thru the planchet punch. Must have been Friday afternoon.
I actually have the same notion as Dave,, the 1991-P will more than likely not be replicated ,, and although it cannot be considered as a mint error since it is damage caused at the mint,, it will remain unique .
The 1991-D will grade at a 66 which is well below my current coin that I have in my collection ,,it will be passed to another collector who needs one for their Lincoln collection.
